Seeds and Leaves

Some of these species are easily identified (such as oak, sweetgum, and maple), and others are specimens I collected without identifying. While I try to learn about all the plants that I paint, sometimes I get caught up in collecting and forget to gather enough information in the field to make an identification at home.

Species include: White oak (Quercus alba)

                              Sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua)

                              Eastern hemlock (Tsuga canadensis)

                               Red maple (Acer rubrum)
